G A Mir, others pay obeisance at Khirbawani Temple | KNO

Srinagar, June 10 (KNO) : J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G A Mir Monday paid obeisance at revered Temple of Ragnya Devi at Tulmulla Ganderbal, today. Mir was accompanied by various Party functionaries and leaders, who also paid obeisance at the Temple. According to a statement issued to KNO, JKPCC president interacted with Kashmir Pandit brethren and greeted them on this auspicious occasion, he also took stock of the arrangements made for the devotees and urged upon the Divisional Administration to ensure every facility to devotees during their stay at the Temple. He also asked the party unit of Ganderbal to remain present at the temple to ensure that devotees feel comfortable, in every respect. On this occasion, Mir described Mela Khirbawani as a unique and pious occasion in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, which has always strengthened the bonds of unity between Pandit and Muslim brethren. He said the auspicious occasion of Mela Khirbawani manifests the rich culture of friendship, multi cultured ethos in Jammu and Kashmir, in true sense. Mir hoped that the auspicious occasion of Mela Khirbawani will further strengthen bonds of unity and harmony in JK, leading the people at the path of peace and righteousness. Meanwhile, DCC President Kupwara Haji Farooq Mir visited Khirbawani Temple at Tiker Kupwara and paid obeisance.(KNO)
